Meurtre des experts de l’ONU : après que la défense aie dénoncé un résumé «orienté» , l’audience se poursuit ce vendredi à Kananga

Au procès des présumés meurtriers des experts de l’ONU au Kasaï devant la cour militaire de l’ex-Kasaï-Occidental, le ministère public a présenté mercredi 17 septembre un résumé des débats qui avaient eu lieu devant le tribunal militaire pour que « tout le monde ait la même compréhension des faits ». Un avocat de la défense a parlé d’un résumé orienté.

Après avoir obtenu de la cour la permission de faire ce résumé, le ministère public a pris la parole pour rappeler que ce dossier a commencé au tribunal militaire de Kananga le 5 juin 2017.

Le colonel Muwau s’est employé à donner un condensé des débats, revenant sur les déclarations des uns et des autres.

Il a, dans un premier temps, décrit le contexte qui prévalait dans le groupement Bena Kabiye. Contexte qui, selon lui, a facilité la commission du meurtre de Zaida Catalan et Michael Sharp, le 12 mars 2017 à Moyo Musuila. Il a notamment fait observer que ce meurtre avait été commis dans un contexte de dualité à la tête de ce groupement et des villages qui le composent.

Citant des déclarations des prévenus et renseignants, qui ont déposé devant le tribunal militaire, le ministère public est également revenu sur la préparation du voyage des experts, l’interception de leur convoi, leur acheminement dans la cour du chef Bula Bula ainsi que leur exécution.

« Sans avoir la prétention de résumer tout ce qui a été dit devant le tribunal militaire, nous avons essayé de donner à la cour l’essentiel des débats qui avaient eu lieu du 5 juin 2017 au 8 août 2019 », a finalement conclu le colonel Muwau, après un peu plus d’une heure de prise de parole.

La Cour a ensuite donné la parole à un avocat de la défense, qui a estimé que ce résumé était orienté. « Il a orienté son résumé dans le sens de son réquisitoire », a lancé Me Patrick Mubalu.

Pour sa part, le président de céans a assuré que le résumé présenté par le ministère public « n’est qu’une information » et que « tous les prévenus représentés par leurs conseils peuvent toujours réagir chacun en ce qui le concerne ».

La prochaine audience est prévue le vendredi 20 septembre.
